One of the most significant documents created by the AHAPC on behalf of its members is a series of guidelines appropriately titled, ‘The Guidelines Project’. This series of reports are intended to help all First Nations with respect to their engagement in the construction of the proposed Alaska Highway Gas Pipeline. Focus areas include First Nations readiness, consultation and accommodation with government and industry, substantive provision of anticipated participation agreements, and Yukon First Nations challenges, opportunities and recommendations as it relates to their participation in the Environmental and Socio-economic Assessment of the Alaska Highway Gas Project.
